Request for Proposals

 

The South Carolina Landscape & Turfgrass Association (SCLTA) is soliciting proposals for research to be conducted in the area of ornamental plants or turfgrasses by graduate students or faculty at South Carolina universities.  SCLTA will be awarding one grant of up to $3,000 for the year 2007. 

A committee made up of four members of the SCLTA Board of Directors will review the proposals.

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:

·    The ornamental/turfgrass research project must occur between January1st and   December 31st of the award year.

·    One member of the research team must be a (paid) member of SCLTA.

·    Funding will be announced and awarded at the annual conference in January.

·    A written report for publication of the research results is due to SCLTA no later than December 1st of the award year. 

·    Application deadline is September 30th for awards the following January.

·    Maximum number of five pages for research proposal as detailed below.

2. Two-page (maximum) description of proposed research;

 

3. One-page (maximum) vitae of principal investigator/researcher;

 

4. One-page (maximum) detailed budget summary of funding requested:
