SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The South Carolina Landscape and
Turfgrass Association is a state-wide non-profit
organization whose goal is to serve its membership by
increasing professional knowledge and competence through
research, educational programs, scholarships,
publications, and similar related activities.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Gold
Award - $2,500 for a four-year institution
Silver Award - $1,500 for a two-year institution
ELIBILITY: Any full-time graduate or
undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program
majoring in Plant Sciences or a related field (urban
forestry, landscape architecture, entomology, plant
pathology, etc.) at a South Carolina Educational
Institution. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
CRITERIA: The SCLTA Board of Directors will
determine the scholarship winners based on (1)
scholarship, (2) related extra curricular activities,
and (3) work history and career goals.
PROCESS: Complete this application, attach a
short biography and statement of career goals, and mail
them in with a copy of your most recent transcripts to:

All applications and related materials must be
received by November 2, 2007.
NOTIFICATION: Award recipients will be
notified in writing by December 31, 2007 and are
expected to be present to receive their award at the
SCLTA Annual Conference in Columbia on January 23, 2008.
The SCLTA will cover travel expenses to and from the
Conference upon request.
